It's Sande here showing you my Saturday DT-card for the current "Add Sparkle" challenge at Fitztown. This fairy is one of the fabulous fairies of Morgan Fitzsimons. If you don't find this image on the store it is because they are stocking Morgan's images to the store and it takes some time. I bet you will find them soon. I have colored the whole thing with my Copics. I like this card myself even it is quite simple. What do you like?

DT Kaija on Friday !

Hello toYou all “ who have got grazy about card crafting” J
This hobby has ”hooked” me anyway; not a day without some card making or something else crafting.

It is so fantastic to create something.

You are so welcome to visit my blog and see my creations.
This one has a story: The story is from the time when I still was working. My employer became my best friend , best friend for the rest time  of my life. In this month she turned 50 years and I could imagine in my mind how I shall recall her. And here it is; the Tag is decorated all over with a thick lace fabric (from a wedding dress) and a clock is symbol the time that flies –suitable for the theme-. Beside it is a charming digi stamp from Morgan Fitzsimmons. You will find it from www.artfire.com.

The bottle beside it consists “Heart Medicine” J The bottle is covered with the same fabric with a vintage theme. Anything which is made with love is beautiful !

Here is the theme for the actual challenge:

Thank You so much for Your visit and I hope that You will join us !
There is more in my blog; Hugs Kaija.

Unexpected Glitz

I've heard tell it cannot be done... I'm here to show you it can be done! ;)

I've been making lots of masculine cards of late. Getting out of my comfort zone, stretching the limits, see what it is I'm really made of. ;) It's been hard to keep from adding bling, flowers and ribbon.

When I saw this image, it brought back memories of camping trips and fishing when we lived up in New Hampshire. I can clearly remember the way the setting sun made the trees, dirt road and water glisten. I have pictures of my kids as children holding up their catch and in every single one of them the fish glisten from being wet. So... I went for it!

Here's my card:

I colored the image with Copic markers. The background is colored with Pebbles, Inc. Pearlescent jewel-tone chalks. All card stock and rhinestones are from my stash. I've used The Angel Company and Raisin Boat stamp sets to stamp the background as well. I've dotted the entire background with Stickles in Star Dust, Firefly and Baby Blue to give the card some shimmer. I dabbed the fish with Stickles in Platinum and covered the surface with Glossy Accents to give the appearance of slimy, wet fish. :) lol The image is from Morgan Fitzsimons called Fishing.

Here are some close ups of the shimmer.

Trees and water...
Fish...
Dirt road...
I can't help but be a little giddy! lol I've used rhinestones and Stickles on a masculine card!! :)

Hope you'll join us for our Challenge #7 - Add Sparkle. Show us some of your glitz and glam!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sande's Wednesday and MINI candy

Hello lovely crafters!
Welcome and thank you for joining us today! It's Sande here sharing my second DT card
for the current Add Sparkle challenge.
I've used this lovely fairy again because I fell in love with her!!
She is one of the new images by Morgan Fitzsimons.
I have colored her with my Copics.
I usually color the images with my Copics even though I have Promarkers too, but somehow
I turn my eyes to Copics again and again :)
So sad the photo doesn't give the rights to the card because it looks more sparkly in real life.
The card is size 6"x6".

I have - again - this MINI CANDY to offer you today! :)
One randomly chosen winner will get these two packs of rhinestones.
All you have to do is:

* be our follower
* put the photo of this candy to your blog
* link the picture back to Fitztown.
* leave a comment under this post during Wednesday on Eastern Daylight time.

I will draw one winner by random.org on Sunday 25th of Aug.

Good luck everyone!

Fairy Child

Good morning Fitztown girls! We're so glad to see you back here again! :)

This is my final card for the handmade flower challenge.

I've made my flower out of tulle. I cut a strip about 9" (L) X 2" (W) and folded it in half. I used needle and thread to stitch through the fold weaving in and out without any rhyme or reason. Once I had the entire section threaded, I pulled the thread tight and tied a knot. I pulled and pushed the tulle until it formed a flat round, gathered circle. I glued the center down and added a flower rhinestone on top. I then dabbed Stickles in Petal Pink to the edge of the tulle. I thought it made a very simple and pretty, delicate looking flower.

Here's my card:
All supplies are from my stash. The image is Fairy Child Stamp Forget Me Not by Morgan Fitzsimons.

Don't forget to join us for our handmade flower challenge. There's only a few days left! We'd love to see what kind of flowers you like to make.
Thanks for stopping by!

Fashionista

Thanks for joining us today. We continue with our handmade flower challenge.

I've been making flowers again and this time... it took me SIX hours to make this card! Can you believe it? I have to admit... I did a bit of talking and entertaining while I was making the card. My friend, Maria, was at my house this past Saturday and we spent the day cropping. I'm afraid I'm somewhat of a chatterbox! lol So in the midst of cutting paper, gluing, inking, adding pearls, using a die cut on the colored image, finding a tag, stamping the sentiment and making the flowers, I was doing what I do best. Chatting away! lol ;)

Here's my card:
All supplies are from my stash and I've made all the flowers. I colored the image with Copic markers. The printed card stock is Graphic 45's Fashionista Collection. The sentiment is from a Raisin Boat clear stamp set. You can see a picture tutorial on how I made these flowers here. I've used Morgan Fitzsimons' digital image called 1920s Hat 2

We hope you'll join us in our current challenge. We would LOVE to see what types of handmade flowers you make!

Thanks for stopping by!
